By using the RupaX invoice generator (“Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

RupaX reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

RupaX is a free, client-side invoice generation tool that allows users to create, preview, and download invoice PDFs. The Service also includes a fare splitting utility.

• All data processing occurs locally in your browser
• No user data is uploaded to external servers during invoice creation
• PDF generation is handled entirely client-side using html2pdf.js
• Business details are saved to browser localStorage for convenience only

RupaX is not responsible for any invoices, bills, receipts, or financial documents generated using this Service. This includes but is not limited to:

• Incorrect amounts, tax calculations, or totals displayed on invoices
• Inaccurate business details, client information, or GST numbers
• Invoices used for fraudulent, misleading, or illegal purposes
• Financial disputes or losses arising from the use of generated invoices
• Non-compliance with local tax laws, GST regulations, or financial reporting requirements

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that all information entered into the invoice form is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

By using this Service, you agree that:

• You are solely responsible for all content entered into the invoice generator
• You will not use the Service to create fraudulent or misleading invoices
• You will comply with all applicable local, state, and national laws when creating invoices
• You will verify all calculations, tax amounts, and totals before using any generated invoice
• You understand that RupaX is a tool and not a licensed accounting or financial advisory service

The fare splitting feature is provided as a convenience utility. While we use integer arithmetic to avoid floating-point rounding errors:

• RupaX is not responsible for any disputes arising from fare splits
• Users should verify split calculations independently before settling payments
• The maximum amount for splitting is capped at ₹10,00,00,000 (10 crore) for safety
• The maximum number of split participants is 100

RupaX processes all data locally in your browser. Specifically:

• No server uploads: Invoice data is not sent to any external server
• Local storage only: Business details are saved to your browser's localStorage for auto-fill convenience
• No tracking: RupaX does not use analytics, cookies for tracking, or third-party data processors
• User control: You can clear all saved data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage

The only external requests made by the application are for font loading (Google Fonts) and optional geolocation reverse-geocoding (OpenStreetMap Nominatim).

The RupaX name, logo, and all visual design elements are the intellectual property of the RupaX project. Users may not:

• Use the RupaX brand to imply endorsement of their invoices
• Redistribute modified versions of the Service under the RupaX name
• Remove or alter the “Secured by RupaX” footer on generated invoices

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• RupaX is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied
• RupaX makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of tax calculations
• In no event shall RupaX, its creators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• The Service may contain bugs or errors — users should always verify output independently

RupaX is a tool for generating invoice documents. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, or tax advice.

You may not use RupaX to:

• Generate invoices for illegal goods or services
• Create fraudulent or forged financial documents
• Misrepresent tax amounts or business information
• Impersonate another business or individual
• Circumvent any rate limits or abuse protections built into the Service

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
